Zitat:
This procedure will cause your VPN to automatically connect as soon as your user logs in to Vista.
1. Cick "Start"
2. Enter "ncpa.cpl" in the Start Search box and press enter
3. In the Network Connection Window that pops open, find your VPN connection
4. Right Click the connection and select "Properties"
5. On the "Options" tab deselect
"Display Progress while connecting"
and
"Prompt for name and passsword, certificate, etc."
6. Click OK, this completes the modifications you need to make to this connection config. Now we need to add a shortcut for it to your Startup folder.
7. Click Start, All Programs, find "Startup" and right click it, then select "Open"
8. From the network connections window find your VPN account, then drag and drop it to the Startup folder that was just opened.
You should now see shortcut to your VPN connection in the startup folder. That's the final step.
Next time you start Vista your VPN will connect automatically.

Zitat:
Assuming you are using the Windows VPN, if you look at the options tab, under properties of the VPN/virtual adapter, you can enable "redial if line is dropped", as well as redial frequency and number of attempts, although this should be enabled by default. It will only work, I assume, if you save the password with the configuration file.
